Responsibilities - Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code principles
- Architect and develop robust microservices architectures with focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Build and optimize data engineering pipelines for large-scale data processing and analytics workloads
- Lead full-stack development initiatives using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Python frameworks
- Implement advanced cloud-native solutions leveraging serverless architectures and event-driven patterns
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices
- Solve complex technical challenges across distributed systems and provide innovative solutions to business problems
Requirements - Active TS/SCI CI Poly, with current Customer eligibility and SBU/SECNet/COE accounts
- DoD 8140 Compliance
- Must be willing to work in SCIF daily or as needed
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with cloud-first development approach
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code
- 3+ years building complex, reusable CDK constructs and stacks
- 3+ years implementing multi-environment deployment strategies using CDK
- 5+ years of advanced Python development experience
- Expertise in frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django for API development
- Strong experience with data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Apache Spark)
- Proficiency in async programming and performance optimization
- 5+ years of modern JavaScript/TypeScript development
- 3+ years with Node.js backend development and npm ecosystem
- 3+ years with frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular)
- Experience with modern build tools and package managers
- 4+ years of microservices architecture design and implementation
- Event-driven architecture patterns and message queuing systems
- API design, versioning, and service mesh technologies
- 4+ years of data engineering experience
- ETL/ELT pipeline development using AWS services (Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Step Functions)
- Experience with data lakes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms
- Real-time data processing and streaming architectures
- 3+ years with AWS cloud-native services
- Advanced knowledge of Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS
- Experience with data services: RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, S3, Athena
- Container orchestration with ECS, Fargate, or EKS
- Strong problem-solving abilities with proven track record of resolving complex technical challenges
Desired Skills - 4+ years of experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes in government environments
- Implementation of NIST 800-53 controls and FedRAMP compliance requirements
- Security automation and continuous compliance monitoring
- 3+ years of experience with advanced data analytics and machine learning platforms
- AWS SageMaker, Databricks, or similar ML/AI platforms
- Model deployment and MLOps pipeline development
- Database expertise across multiple platforms
- Performance tuning and optimization for RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB
- Data modeling for both relational and NoSQL databases
- DevSecOps and security automation experience
- Integration of security scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx)
