Job SummaryWe are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team focused on building and automating enterprise-class cloud database platforms.
This role involves engineering infrastructure for PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL databases (e.g., CockroachDB, YugabyteDB) across AWS and Azure environments.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in cloud automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code practices, along with a passion for learning and mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities- Engineer infrastructure for deploying and migrating PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL databases in AWS and Azure.
- Modernize and create end-to-end automation capabilities for cloud database services.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and cloud CoEs to ensure efficient and secure database usage.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and automate workflows with Python, Shell scripting, and Go.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for database service deployment.
- Ensure compliance with operational and security policies across cloud platforms.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to cloud database engineering teams.
- Create and maintain customer-facing documentation for database automation services.
Required Qualifications- Experience with scripting languages: Python, Shell, Terraform, Go.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency in Cloud DevOps and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Experience with relational and distributed SQL databases.
- Familiarity with GitHub and source code management tools.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Strong commitment to code quality and continuous learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively in goal-oriented teams.
