Cloud Systems Engineer
Location: Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO.
Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

U.S. Citizenship Mandatory: Due to our US federal government contract, candidates for this position are required to be a US Citizen and will be subject to a background investigation. Job Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining the cloud native system.
  • Must readily adapt to changing requirements; keep up-to-date on emerging technologies; and be ready to help implement these new products and technologies to enhance the system.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Linux (Red Hat and CentOS desired).
  • Enterprise Service - Active Directory, LDAP, DNS.
  • System security, hardening, and accreditation (e.g. DCID 6/3, ICD-503).
  • Automated OS and cloud infrastructure installation.
  • Cloud virtualization.
  • Configuration and use of - nat, dns, ldap, nis, nfs, iptables, free ipa.
  • System performance monitoring, and tuning.
  • Performing, monitoring, and designing system backup plans.
  • Create, debug, and enhance scripts (e.g. bash, csh, Perl, ruby, python, expect).
  • Automate repetitive tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of switching, routing, IP addressing, and networks.
  • Experience with multicast.
  • Train others on system maintenance duties.
  • Source code control systems, both use and administration (cvs, subversion, git).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Gluster, Ceph.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in computer related discipline is desired but not mandatory. Candidate may substitute relevant work experience.
