Full Job Description
The Cloud DevOps Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining the hosted environment supporting all customer facing applications at Gateway, with an emphasis on automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. This role works closely with and serves as a second to our Cloud Architect, providing an excellent opportunity for a driven, growth-oriented individual to develop deep expertise in modern cloud and DevOps practices.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of IT work with cloud hosted products and services, and systems administration experience with multi-platform environments.
  • Industry recognized certifications preferred.
  • Gateway applications knowledge nice to have.

Job Description:

  • Work alongside and support the Cloud Architect, gaining hands-on experience across cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices in a mentored environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability to identify and take corrective action on a timely and effective basis; ensure that proper documentation is created to avoid problems in the future.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure hosted resources.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources consistently and repeatably.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automated provisioning of cloud and on-premise resources.
  • Assist in building, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines to support automated testing, deployment, and release workflows.
  • Learn to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Kubernetes, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of GitOps workflows using Argo CD to manage application deployments and configuration drift.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement based on evolving standards and best practices. Azure is a constantly changing platform, with improvements occurring constantly, and we must keep pace and ensure we take advantage of them.
  • Support and maintain resources in company owned cloud infrastructure subscriptions.
  • Support and maintain customer on-premise hosted managed appliance-based workloads.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for support of hosted and managed infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure documents for common tasks.
