Job Description

An experienced Data Analyst who works independently and is passionate about knowledge sharing, problem solving, technology modernization, and process transformation. This role partners with teams across Enterprise Analytics & Customer Experience (EACX) to enable, govern, and accelerate the migration of analytics and reporting solutions from on-premises platforms to cloud-based technologies.

The position serves as a trusted advisor and consultant for analytics modernization initiatives, providing expertise on cloud tools, architecture patterns, data governance, and best practices while helping business teams successfully migrate data engineering, reporting, auditing, reconciliation, and advanced analytics use cases to modern cloud environments.

In addition to cloud migration efforts, this role supports the Marketing Data Platform (MAD) ecosystem by facilitating project intake requests, troubleshooting production issues, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring data products meet business needs, quality standards, and SLA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Analytics Migration & Consulting
  • Provide technical guidance and consultation on Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and other cloud-native technologies.
  • Define and socialize cloud architecture patterns, coding standards, development frameworks, and governance practices.
  • Assist stakeholders with environment setup, onboarding, documentation, metadata management, training materials, and access requirements.
  • Partner with analytics, marketing, and business stakeholders to migrate data mining, auditing, data quality, aggregation, ETL/ELT, reconciliation, reporting, and visualization workloads from legacy platforms such as SAS, Alteryx, Power BI, and Tableau to cloud-based solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a liaison between business users, product owners, analytics teams, and technology partners.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand business objectives, data needs, dependencies, risks, and migration readiness.

Production Support & Issue Troubleshooting
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for analytics and data platform production issues.
  • Partner with engineering teams to investigate data quality concerns, pipeline failures, reconciliation discrepancies, performance bottlenecks, and reporting issues.
  • Coordinate resolution of data availability and system integration issues impacting marketing and analytics workloads.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, incident management, and operational support processes to improve platform reliability and user experience.
  • Track production defects, enhancement requests, and remediation activities while providing stakeholder communication and status updates.

Data Governance & Quality
  • Contribute to governance frameworks supporting cloud-based analytics solutions in multi-tenant environments.
  • Develop and monitor controls related to source code management, data quality, data validation, reconciliation, and observability.
  • Support implementation of data lineage, metadata, and governance capabilities using enterprise data management tools.

Data Platform & Business Collaboration
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, product owners, and business teams to ensure critical datasets are available, reliable, and accessible.
  • Support marketing data workflows, customer analytics initiatives, audience management processes, and campaign enablement requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on banking datasets, analytics platforms, and enterprise data ecosystems.
  • Drive adoption of best practices for analytics engineering, reusable assets, and cloud-native development.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Six or more years of experience in application development


Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration and analytics modernization programs.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and CI/CD frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, marketing workflows, and banking data domains.
  • Experience troubleshooting data pipelines, production issues, and platform support incidents.
  • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, DevOps, and source code management practices.
  • Understanding of Marketing Data Platforms, campaign execution processes, customer analytics, and enterprise data governance.

Time Allocation
  • 70% Stakeholder consultation, cloud migration support, project intake activities, onboarding and issue resolution.
  • 30% Development of governance capabilities, monitoring solutions, best practices, operational controls, automation


Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
