Responsibilities

  • Enforce architecture standards, conduct design reviews, and document decisions.
  • Incorporate secure design principles; align solutions with security and compliance requirements.
  • Guide cost-conscious design decisions and promote cost governance practices.
  • Partner with Engineering, DevSecOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams to enhance delivery outcomes.

Full Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Cloud Architect to join our Corporate IT team based in our Canton, MA Boston MA; Farmington, CT or Raleigh, NC offices on a hybrid schedule. The Cloud Architect defines and evolves Azure platform architecture, governance, and solution design aligned to enterprise standards and cloud adoption objectives. The role combines strategic thinking with practical design leadership to deliver clear, implementable architectures. The Cloud Architect is responsible for the overall architecture, governance, and evolution of the Azure cloud estate while providing solution architecture guidance for complex initiatives. Some of the Cloud Architects responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Architecture & Design: Design scalable, secure cloud platforms and solutions; define reference architectures and reusable standards; lead architecture for Azure platform capabilities, application modernization, integrations, and shared services.
  • Azure Platform Architecture: Define and evolve architecture for networking, ingress/egress, RBAC/IAM, subscription organization, enterprise connectivity, and hybrid patterns.
  • Governance & Standards: Enforce architecture standards, conduct design reviews, document decisions, manage exceptions, and promote standard patterns.
  • Security & Operational Design: Incorporate secure design principles, align solutions with security and compliance requirements, and define monitoring, resiliency, and recovery requirements.
  • Cost & Efficiency: Guide cost-conscious design decisions and promote cost governance practices.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, DevSecOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams to improve consistency and delivery outcomes.

The expertise you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience defining reusable architecture patterns and reference architectures.
  • Familiarity with API, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
  • Practical understanding of cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
  • Experience in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles.

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $142,000 - $188,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; our Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $165,000 - $193,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
