Full Job Description
$142,800.00-$214,200.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.   Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. 

The Cloud Architect & Full Stack Developer will lead and define the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of manufacturing systems, including advanced integrations with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and ML/AI technologies. This role combines software development oversight with strategic architectural responsibilities to drive innovation and optimize JM’s manufacturing capabilities.

Primary Purpose: 

To provide comprehensive technical leadership in manufacturing systems, overseeing architectural design, data integration, and implementing AI-driven analytics to enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of manufacturing software solutions, ensuring seamless integration between plant control systems, SAP applications, and cloud-based services.
  • Oversee and manage code development efforts, setting technical standards and guiding both internal and external teams on software modifications.
  • Translate complex business requirements into robust, integrated solutions across Azure, SAP, and Microsoft Fabric platforms.
  • Develop and design custom applications and data pipelines that support data flow from production systems to cloud environments and enable analytics and AI/ML applications.
  • Implement data integration and data quality standards, leveraging Fabric architecture to streamline data processing and analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML/AI algorithms into the manufacturing ecosystem, supporting predictive maintenance, quality optimization, and operational insights.
  • Architect secure and scalable solutions on Azure, ensuring data integrity and reliable data transmission across systems.
  • Define and implement governance frameworks for architecture standards, data handling, and application performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis for production issues, coordinating with development teams to implement improvements and optimize performance.
  • Mentor team members, fostering skills in advanced architecture, data engineering, and AI.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, data-driven insights, and advanced analytics within the manufacturing processes.
  • Engage in project management, guiding technical improvements and collaborating with IT leadership on roadmap development and technology strategy.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, technical specifications, and guidelines that support sustainable growth and compliance across applications and systems.

Requirements (Education, Skills, and Abilities)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 

  • 10+ years in application development, with significant experience in SAP manufacturing systems and technical leadership.
  • Proven expertise in SAP MII, .NET, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric, along with a background in data architecture, integration, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying AI/ML algorithms within manufacturing systems, enhancing predictive capabilities and process optimizations.

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficient in SAP MII, .NET, SQL, Azure cloud services, Microsoft Fabric, and data architecture.
  • Knowledge of integration protocols such as REST, SOAP, and experience with ML/AI libraries and platforms.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like C++, C#, JavaScript, and tools for managing data processing (HTML5, JQuery, XML).

Soft Skills: 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
  • Effective project management and collaboration abilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Additional Information

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required (up to 15 days per year).
  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based, with visits to manufacturing sites as necessary.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Azure Fundamentals or higher-level Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer).
