Full Job Description
Essnova is looking for a Cloud Architect to perform and support activities associated with the maintenance and support of DoD OIG's hybrid cloud services and infrastructure platforms including management for the Public Cloud Service Provider (IaaS, PaaS or SaaS) and/or 3rd party Cloud Service Provider offered platforms and services.
Requirements
• Support the design, governance, and architecture of compute environment in a cloud environment.
• Develop workflows for on demand IaaS provisioning.
• Identify the integration points essential for self-service IaaS provisioning.
• Manage additional supporting services for the core compute services in the environment (such as dynamic auto-scaling, container management, load balancing).
• Support and perform migration of virtual machine (VM) and platforms from on-premises to the cloud, and vice versa.
• Export an existing running instance or a copy of an instance and into Customer required image format (e.g., a VMDK, OVF or VHD file).
• Change regions and/or subscriptions in accordance with services provided by the Cloud Service Provider.
• Create and configure infrastructure templates and blueprints for IaaS provisioning.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have Secret security clearance
• Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 8 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of experience focused on cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management
• 3 years of experience managing hybrid cloud environments, integrating on premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services
• 3 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure supporting 1,000+ users across multiple geographic locations
• 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform
• 2 years of experience with cloud migration projects to include virtual machine migration from on-premises to Azure, and technical expertise in Azure cloud services
• Certifications:
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
Desired Qualifications:
• Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Azure Solutions Architect certificate.
