Full Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, State Special Schools Support Office, CSDF Unit, within the Technology Services Division, and in coordination with the Superintendent of the California School for the Deaf, Fremont, the Information Technology Specialist I is responsible for supporting and managing cloud-based technologies and related systems for CSDF. These platforms may include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, ServiceNow, Adobe, and other cloud-based systems used by the school.

The incumbent provides second-level technical support to computer users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, account, and system-related issues. Duties include setting up, configuring, maintaining, and updating computer systems and related technology resources. The incumbent may also provide training, guidance, and technical assistance to staff and users to ensure effective use of technology resources. Experience with SQL, HTML/CSS, XML, and Angular is desirable.

Working Conditions
Work Location is in the City of Fremont, primarily in a climate controlled building but may involve working outdoors when support of other IT areas is needed. Must be able to move/transport physical hardware weighing up to 50 lbs. with/without reasonable accommodation. Core Business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. May be required to work after hours and over the weekend to for scheduled maintenance or repairs.

The California School for the Deaf, Fremont CSDF) is one of 6 State Special Schools under the Department of Education. Located on a 96-acre campus shared with the California School for the Blind, and the Diagnostic Center, North, we are a short walk from BART and have free employee parking.

Special Requirements
