Position: Clinical Trainer
Location: Hybrid (Must Reside in NY/NJ/CT)
Compensation: $102,549.17 - $115,367.82
Job Summary:The Clinical Trainer will participate in the development and delivery of clinical and non-clinical training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge. This role will support the overall performance of operations through ongoing training and development designed to drive the efficacy and high-quality performance of each department.
Essential Job Functions: - Participates in the development of training programs and materials tailored to meet the needs of clinical and non-clinical staff
- Identifies training audience and coordinates training via outlook invites
- Demonstrates exceptional classroom facilitation skills and incorporates adult learning principals into training delivery
- Uses facilitator's guide, notes, and other training material as a guide rather than a script
- Creates a safe and respectful learning environment where participants feel comfortable participating and sharing their thoughts and concerns
- Tailors the delivery of material to meet differing needs, interests, and experience levels among participants; can adjust training accordingly
- Guides discussions to stay on topic and ensure that learning objectives are being addressed
- Actively involves all participants, using a variety of closed, open, high gain and second level questions, to engage participants
- Actively seeks evidence of audience engagement and comprehension and provides coaching in the moment, as necessary
- Identifies and addresses any issues among participants that could hinder the learning process
- Utilizes conflict resolution skills when necessary to maintain a positive learning environment
- Maintains control over the learning environment by managing challenging participants, minimizing distractions, utilizing the handling objections model, and monitoring the pace of the class.
- Supports the evaluation of training delivery and outcomes by administering post training surveys
- Gathers feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements
- Maintains detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and completion rates
- Provides reports to management on the impact of training programs.
- Stays updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development to enhance future training programs
- Continually looks for areas of improvement to support learning outcomes and provides recommendations to improve learning outcomes and/or mitigate potential risks
- Participates in special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Minimum Requirements: Experience: - Current RN / Social Work License.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in training, staff development, or education within a healthcare or managed care environment
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in care management, utilization management, case management, or related field
- Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to develop clear, engaging, and effective training materials
- Collaborative, flexible, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate adult learners.
Education and certification: - Bachelor's degree in nursing or social work
