Position Summary:Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating patients of all ages. Coordinate, delegates, oversees the daily functions of the Dialysis staff. Provides supervision for team members in accordance with their level of training and the patient's acuity.
Supervisory Duties; Responsible for implementing and maintaining the dialysis policy and procedures manual. Maintain competencies and skills check list for dialysis staff. Monitor and ensure dialysis machines are properly maintained. Provides orientation to new dialysis staff and evaluates dialysis staff performance. Provides easy access to dialysis services by maintaining the physician order and contact system through the staffing office. Maintain appropriate supply level of specialized dialysis products.
Qualifications EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:Experience:
Prefer one-year full time or three years part-time experience in acute care setting.
Minimum 1-year supervisory experience
Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
REQUIRED SKILLS:Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
Basic organizational and computer skills.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:BLS and ACLS (current on hire) Current state nursing license.
PALS or NRP (current or obtained within 90 days of employment) in required specialty. CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
