Location: Austin, TX

Facility: Dell Seton Medical Center

Department/Specialty: Inpatient Pharmacy

Schedule: Rotating Shifts l Full-Time

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Lead specialized pharmacy care by assuring appropriate selection, dosing, and dispensing of medication orders in complex areas such as oncology and nuclear medicine.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing system-wide guidance to clinical leadership and cross-functional teams to improve medication safety and therapeutic protocols.
  • Proactively review and assess medication orders, recommending evidence-based formulary alternatives to prevent and resolve potential drug-related problems, ensuring optimal patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff, providing expert drug information and patient education to facilitate integrated care and enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Oversee technical personnel and assist with academic functions, such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students, to maintain workflow efficiency and mentor the next generation of professionals.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
