How you'll make an impact in this role- Lead specialized pharmacy care by assuring appropriate selection, dosing, and dispensing of medication orders in complex areas such as oncology and nuclear medicine.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing system-wide guidance to clinical leadership and cross-functional teams to improve medication safety and therapeutic protocols.
- Proactively review and assess medication orders, recommending evidence-based formulary alternatives to prevent and resolve potential drug-related problems, ensuring optimal patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff, providing expert drug information and patient education to facilitate integrated care and enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Oversee technical personnel and assist with academic functions, such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students, to maintain workflow efficiency and mentor the next generation of professionals.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
What additional preferences we're seeking Minimum of 3 years of inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience
PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent clinical experience
Licensed pharmacist in Texas
