Full Job Description
Shawnee Health is seeking a Clinical Social Services Director for our Shawnee Alliance Office. This position reports directly to the Chief Director of Social Services.

Essential Job Functions:
• Represents Shawnee Health in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current patients, clients, their families and the community we serve.
• Upholds Shawnee Health's mission to enhance lives by providing accessible and exceptional care to all. This will include assessing and serving the needs of the underserved/vulnerable populations and designing programs and services which are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
• Handles confidential information with tact and discretion.
• Functions as a member of the Social Service Division Management Team and Shawnee Management Committee.
• Works with Clinical Division representing Social Services Programs and staff in development, planning, training, and communication.
• In collaboration with assigned staff, provides ongoing hiring, training and supervision of assigned staff including reviewing work, monitoring schedules, productivity, and report development and management. Contributes to performance evaluations for team members as appropriate.
• Provides input into the development and revision of job descriptions as needed.
• Develops, plans and oversees the management of program growth and sustainability. Develops new programs, including proposal writing, budget development and oversight as appropriate.

Start• Implements program enhancements and recommends procedural changes to improve the service delivery system. Identifies areas for process improvement and implements changes to improve efficiency, workflow and productivity. Serves on process improvement work groups.
• Assist in development and writing of Policies and Procedures along with best practice protocols for assigned programs.
• Works with team on staff training, including developing and maintaining materials, and seamless coordination across programs and clinic services.
• Supervises benchmark activity for assigned programs and staff. Responsible for quality improvement goals. Prepares statistical reports as requested.
• Completes grant and licensure renewal application materials and required reports for assigned programs as requested.
• Conducts public education, presentations and training sessions to the community at large, upon request.
• Represents Shawnee on coalitions, advisory groups, steering committees, and other local organized groups as assigned.
• Represents the position of the agency in patient staffing and special circumstances which involve complex cases requiring administrative decisions.
• Maintains clinical licensure. May accept counseling patients as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

A. Mandatory:

Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or other related human service field.

Licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist.

3-5 years counseling experience.

3-5 years of program development, management and supervision experience.

Competency Requirements:

A. Mandatory:

Must be competent in the use of computers including use of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in addition to interpersonal and organizational skills.

Must be sensitive to and aware of the special life conditions of patients.

Must have networking skills and ability to work with staff at other agencies.

Must be skilled in mediation/negotiation and have knowledge of group dynamics and family dynamics.

Must have the ability to maintain client and employee confidentiality.

Must be capable of high level of discretion in handling confidential information.

Must be capable of independent, discretionary problem solving with minimal supervision.

Ensures HIPAA regulations are being followed.

Must have training in a recognized performance improvement model.

B. Preferred:

Familiarity with community and government health and social services.

Starting Salary-$78,320-$117,480
