SCOPE OF POSITION:
In collaboration with the Director, assures the delivery of effective and sufficient patient care services for the Emergency department on a 24/7 basis.
Assumes a leadership role within the unit to ensure that patient care services meet established standards in a manner consistent with Waterbury Hospital's mission, goals and objectives
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing unit's resources, including staffing, ensuring the delivery of safe, quality patient care and fiscal responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS:
• RN, CT license or license eligible.
• BSN or BS degree in related field required.
• At least five(5) years experience in acute care nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership activities required.
• Current managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to communicate among all levels of the organization essential.
