Overview
This position is located at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Mid-South, Dir of Mental Health, Millington, TN This position is as a Mental Health Consultant (MHC). As such, the employee will be physically located within the Primary Care clinic and serve as a consultant to the Primary Care team.

 

Civilian Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health Consultant)  
  • This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
  • A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
  • Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. a7 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Responsibilities Duties
  • Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
  • Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
  • Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
  • Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
