Clinical Program Director- LPC, LCSW LMFT

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical leader to join our team in the key position of Clinical Program Director. This position will provide oversight to our Clinical teams in the residential and outpatient setting.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required: This position requires the following educational and/or job experience.
  • Master's degree in behavioral sciences or social work.
  • Licensure to provide diagnosis and treatment for Substance Use Disorder and or Mental Health in state of employment
  • Two (2) plus years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Five (5) years of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.

Preferred:
  • Independent Licensure to provide diagnosis and treatment for Substance Use Disorder and or Mental Health in state of employment
  • Supervisor licensure status (LPC-S, LMFT-S, LCSW-S).
  • Doctoral degree in healthcare or related field.
  • Additional education, training, or work experience in business management.
  • Seven (7) years of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience.
  • Five (5) plus years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Work experience with healthcare accreditation with preference within the substance abuse treatment industry.

JOB SUMMARY:
  • Oversees and manages clinical programming for the residential and/or outpatient treatment facilities.
  • Takes lead on assessing training needs and developing the training program for the clinical department, to include the enhancement of evidence-based practices, co-occurring care, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Conducts observed sessions for all clinical department staff and provides feedback and coaching for professional growth and development.
  • Track and ensure licensure trainings are completed (CPR, CEU, Relias, etc.).
  • Completes clinical chart reviews and provides training and/or coaching for improvement of documentation in the clinical record.
  • Completes the Quarterly Clinical Chart Review Report including trends and needed improvements.
  • Regularly monitors patient survey information and develops clinical department performance improvement projects to address any areas needing improvement.
  • Leads Quarterly Clinical Department Meetings and provides feedback and data to the clinical team and completes the Department Meeting Minutes.
  • Supports the delivery of clinical care as needed including individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducation.
  • Supervises identified team members including hiring, training, and providing performance review. Provides routine performance feedback, ongoing leadership, and mentoring in support of staff development.
  • Directly supervises all Assistant Clinical Program Directors within the market (residential and/or outpatient), provides performance feedback and annual performance
  • appraisals and provides support to the Assistant Clinical Program Directors in clinical oversight of the clinical team.
  • In the absence of an Assistant Clinical Program Director at a facility, directly supervises the counseling staff and all aspects of clinical care including clinical case management, inpatient treatment services, outpatient treatment services, and pastoral care.
  • Supports Assistant Clinical Program Director with scheduling "On Call", PTO, psychoeducation, and other programming coverage
  • Oversees psychoeducation curriculum for facility (residential and/or outpatient).
  • Facilitating staff meetings with assistance from Assistant Clinical Program Director and completing patient assignments.
  • Provides support with assistance from Assistant Clinical Program Director in times of crisis and after hours to the counselors "on call".
  • Leads facility performance improvement activities inclusive of clinical services. Collaborates with facility management staff to identify and implement improvement activities across the facility.
  • Manages patient census for the residential and/or outpatient treatment facility to meet budgeted goals to ensure financial viability of the facility.
  • Assists with the facility's annual budget in collaboration with the Executive Director to ensure financial goals are being achieved and budget met. Communicates areas of concern and issues to facility management and corporate facility leadership as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate standards of patient confidentiality ensures clinical staff adheres to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection and HIPPA.
  • Ensures compliance with all Joint Commission guidelines that relate to admissions, facility administration, and/or ancillary support services.
  • Performs public relations activities and works to maximize patient referrals by ensuring the facility is highly respected by external referral services; participates as necessary to ensure effective and ongoing alumni activities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Office setting with traditional work hours with the need to work evenings, nights, or weekends based on the need of the facility to provide patient care.
  • Direct contact with patients.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time; regularly talking to and listening to others.
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time.
  • Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to travel - estimated up to 25% of the time. Travel may increase based on the needs of the facilities within the market.
