Thus, the Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions for Non-Tenure Track Faculty should be interpreted in the context of the related departmental and collegiate teaching goals.

Teaching - Faculty responsibilities and essential functions with respect to teaching may include but are not limited to: subject matter competence, course design, course presentation, and grading student work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Economics in the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte is seeking to fill a Clinical Professor position. The position involves both teaching and administrative responsibilities as Director of the newly established North Carolina Economic Impact Center. The candidate will be on a reduced teaching load of four sections during the academic year due to the Director duties. Specific courses taught will be determined in consultation with the Department Chair.

The Director of the North Carolina Economic Impact Center will be responsible for administrative oversight of the Center. The primary purpose of the Center is to engage with industry and community leaders in the greater Charlotte region and conduct economic analyses by securing external funding.

Responsibilities for this position include sufficient academic and/or other professional activities to meet the Belk College Faculty Qualification Standards. Will also engage in appropriate service activities in the Department, College, University and Charlotte community.

Minimum Experience/Education

UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience

PhD in Economics or related field. At least five years of experience at an executive level providing economic analysis of business or government policy. Demonstrated knowledge of economic impacts on the Charlotte, North Carolina, or greater Carolinas region.
