Position Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist - Specialty Pharmacy to join our rapidly expanding, nationally accredited specialty pharmacy program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist, Specialty Pharmacist, Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, or PGY1-trained Pharmacist looking to practice at the top of their license within Pennsylvania's only academic medical center.

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services, optimize medication therapy, perform clinical interventions, verify medication orders, evaluate physician prescriptions, and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.

This role focuses on specialty medications, medication therapy management (MTM), pharmacotherapy optimization, adherence monitoring, disease state management, patient education, medication safety, and patient access initiatives. You'll also partner closely with specialty pharmacy teams supporting prior authorizations, financial assistance programs, manufacturer assistance, benefits investigations, and medication access, ensuring patients receive life-changing therapies quickly and safely.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy required.
  • ASHP-Accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or three (3) years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience required.
  • Active and valid PA licensure or eligibility as a Pharmacist required.
