Responsibilities for Clinical Nurse Manager:
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned unit, ensuring safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing practices.
  • Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning for all residents on the unit.
  • Monitor clinical conditions and ensure timely, accurate reporting of incidents, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
  • Actively participate in committees, programs, and initiatives as directed by the Director of Nursing to support quality improvement and clinical excellence.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
  • Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment grounded in resident-centered care.
  • Participate in on-call and holiday rotation schedules as required to ensure continuous clinical support and coverage.


Qualifications for Clinical Nurse Manager:
  • Must possess a current, active, and unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of employment.
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience in a long-term care or subacute healthcare facility is required.
  • Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to lead, mentor, and support nursing staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
