WAGE RANGE: $70.002 PER HOUR
The position is compensated according to an established wage grid, with progression through the steps occurring in accordance with applicable policies until reaching the maximum of the salary range.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Director of Women, Babies & Children's Health, the successful individual will be accountable for the delivery of a positive patient and family experience, patient flow, people management, risk management and safety, and the provision of high quality care within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or other Professional College
o Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare professional degree; Master's degree preferred
o Three to five years of managerial/leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
o Working knowledge of the Public Hospitals Act, regulated legislation, labour agreements, hospital policies and procedures
o Dynamic interpersonal and leadership skills including critical thinking, communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, people management, visionary thinking, decision making, customer service, and problem solving
o Demonstrated ability to manage a diversified workload with rapidly changing priorities & challenging deadlines
o Demonstrated results in aligning program goals with corporate strategy, and Niagara Health Purpose
o Ability to build and lead a cohesive team, through engagement, transparency, respect and responsiveness
o Demonstrated commitment to an exceptional patient experience including access, flow, quality and patient satisfaction
o Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and utilize information in order to make effective financial decisions
o Demonstrated experience in budget development, fiscal planning, and financial management, with a proven ability to monitor and control expenditures in line with organizational goals and priorities
o Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost analysis, and variance analysis, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to ensure budget adherence and optimize resource allocation
o Experience in the analysis and utilization of data to drive continuous quality improvement
o Experience in the management of risk and safety for patients and staff
o Proven experience in building external and community partnerships
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in the health or business sectors
