Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $42.09 - $56.83 / hour
Summary
Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Clinical Laboratory areas of the Regional Laboratory, including outpatient testing and non-STAT inpatient Chemistry, Hematology, and Coagulation testing consolidated from across the Lee Health system. Coordinates activities of the technical and non-technical laboratory staff and allocates available resources to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations. Works closely with the Regional Laboratory Administrative Director, Laboratory Medical Director, and Regional Laboratory leadership team in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures. Coordinates performance improvement activities for the department. Promotes excellent customer service and ensures laboratory services are delivered in accordance with quality and financial standards. Ensures laboratory services are delivered in compliance with regulatory requirements and Lee Health policies and procedures. Participates in Regional Laboratory and system leadership functions and collaborates with other leaders across the system as a representative of the department.
Requirements
Education: B.S. or B.A. degree required.
Experience: Minimum of two years' supervisory experience required.
Certification: N/A
License: State of Florida Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Supervisor required.
Other: Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates and promotes teamwork, cooperation and excellent customer service skills. Requires strong analytical skills, good time management skills, and the ability to solve problems.
