Job Summary

Lead the Team That Helps Clinicians Deliver Exceptional Care

At International Community Health Services (ICHS), our mission is simple but powerful: provide culturally and linguistically appropriate healthcare services to improve the well-being of diverse communities. We believe technology should make it easier for clinicians to care for patients, not harder.

We're looking for an experienced Clinical Informatics Manager to lead and mentor a talented team of clinical informatics professionals who serve as trusted partners to providers, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health staff, dental teams, and operational leaders across the organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and plays a critical leadership role in advancing clinical excellence through technology, workflow optimization, and exceptional customer service.

If you are a proven informatics leader who enjoys coaching staff, partnering with clinical leaders, solving workflow challenges, and rolling up your sleeves to improve the end-user experience, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Clinical Informaticists focused on providing exceptional support and service to end users.
  • Drive Epic optimization initiatives that improve clinician efficiency, patient care, quality outcomes, and user satisfaction.
  • Establish high standards for customer service, accountability, troubleshooting, and operational ownership.
  • Partner with providers and operational leaders to identify workflow improvement opportunities and implement effective technology solutions.
  • Oversee clinical rounding, user engagement, training initiatives, system enhancements, upgrades, and change management efforts.
  • Foster a culture that emphasizes proactive problem-solving, continuous improvement, collaboration, and end-user advocacy.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success leading or supervising Clinical Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Clinical Applications, or Health IT teams.
  • Extensive end-to-end knowledge of Epic Ambulatory workflows, including:
    • Patient scheduling
    • Registration
    • Clinical documentation
    • Orders and referrals
    • Care coordination
    • Revenue cycle and billing workflows
  • Proven experience mentoring, coaching, and developing staff.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and the relationship between clinical workflows and information systems.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational support and problem-solving.

Strongly Preferred
  • Epic Ambulatory Certification, Accreditation, or Proficiency.
  • Experience leading optimization, implementation, upgrade, or workflow redesign initiatives.
  • FQHC, community health center, ambulatory care, or multi-specialty healthcare experience.

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Clinical Informatics, or related field required. An equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and progressively responsible clinical informatics experience may be substituted. Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics, Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Experience - Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting Epic Ambulatory workflows and clinical operations. Three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, project leadership, or team management experience. Experience providing end-user support, workflow optimization, change management, and training in a healthcare environment. Experience supporting Epic upgrades, implementations, optimization projects, or go-live activities. Experience within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), ambulatory care, community health center, or multi-specialty healthcare environment preferred.

Other Requirement(s) - Epic Ambulatory Certification, Accreditation, or Proficiency strongly preferred. Ability to travel between ICHS sites as necessary. Valid Washington State Driver's License and proof of insurance if driving for business purposes. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during upgrades, go-lives, or critical support events.

The Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced informatics leader who understands that successful technology adoption starts with people. You know how to build trust with clinicians, mentor emerging informatics professionals, navigate complex healthcare workflows, and create a culture where customer service and accountability matter.

You are equally comfortable discussing executive priorities, coaching staff members, participating in workflow design sessions, and helping teams solve operational challenges. Most importantly, you are passionate about helping clinicians succeed so they can provide exceptional care to patients.
