Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacy Informaticist with expertise in HL7 FHIR. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of healthcare data standards, and industry standards, with a focus on Integrating, enriching, and harmonizing clinical data. This role will participate in ensuring the accuracy and usability of data across our organization, ultimately supporting various patient care and research efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Architect FHIR-compliant data models, ensuring all instantiated resources align with specific implementation guides (IGs), profiles, and internal architectural standards.

  • Design and operationalize sophisticated data harmonization and enrichment strategies to unify disparate data streams from EHRs, HIEs, and claims sources.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for clinical ontologies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, RxNorm); define and maintain custom value sets to support specialized clinical use cases.

  • Establish rigorous validation frameworks and automated rules to ensure the clinical accuracy, consistency, and longitudinal integrity of our data assets.

  • Develop clear and concise documentation that effectively communicates data design requirements to engineering teams and stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical degree.

  • Professional Certificate or Master’s Degree in Clinical Informatics or equivalent professional experience in a clinical informatics role.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in clinical informatics or data integration in Healthcare or Life Sciences industries

  • Demonstrated proficiency in navigating the complexities of interoperability standards and frameworks (HL7 v2, FHIR CDA/CCD-A, NCPDP) and data models (FHIR R4/R5, OMOP).

  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool), Jupyter Notebooks, and Experience in healthcare data integration.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $119,000 - $179,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
