Summary:

Under general supervision, improves the performance of the systems and processes that support ANMC operations under the direction of ANMC senior leadership. Facilitates the application of outcomes improvement methodologies and tools to identified processes to reduce defects and improve performance, resulting in improved patient experience, increased workforce satisfaction, improved operational effectiveness and increased margin.

Facilitates the application of outcomes improvement methodologies and tools to identified processes to reduce defects and improve performance, resulting in improved patient experience, increased workforce satisfaction, improved operational effectiveness and increased margin.

Responsibilities:

Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across ANMC, manages complex issues within functional area of expertise, is involved in strategic planning, and contributes to the overall business strategy. Uses the model for improvement to drive improvements to meet the business goals and strategic objectives.

Develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. Is responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Identifies, plans, and leads improvement projects in collaboration with ANMC senior leaders and process improvement teams. Demonstrates expertise and in-depth knowledge of the model for improvement, PDSA, and other improvement tools. Uses outcome, process, and balancing measures to enable defining a problem statistically, evidence-based and in patient terms, measuring current state performance, identifying root causes and variation, analyzing data, building solutions that bring sustainable change, maintaining control using key indicators/metrics, developing priorities for change and scope of projects. Leading and managing projects, plans and evaluates using outcomes improvement methods and tool techniques.

Serves as change agent by motivating, communicating and institutionalizing process improvement initiatives. Uses Change Management tools to plan strategic change projects. Uses Rapid Decision-Making Process tools to plan participatory problem-solving sessions. Uses Rapid Decision-Making Process tools to run meetings and motivate team members to participate and take ownership of solutions.

Works with ANMC senior leadership, process improvement teams and other operating leaders to develop project deployment strategy, goals and priorities. Serves as an expert resource to the business on improvement philosophy, theory, and application tools/tactics. Communicates progress, status and issues to champions and business leaders.

Educates and coaches on process improvement teams on the system and process approaches and application at ANMC. Supervises and trains other outcomes improvement staff, as assigned. Researches, shares, and facilitates discussions for institutionalizing best practices. Supports improvement of patient satisfaction and reduce process variation through application of improvement tools and tactics.

Performs other duties as assigned.
