Clinical Director
Location: Indiana Treatment Centers - Columbus, IN
Status: Full-Time | Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director
Schedule: M-F 9-5pm; Weekend rotation/support needed as facility grows
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Oversight
• Provide clinical leadership for all therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family treatment.
• Ensure treatment programming aligns with ASAM criteria, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care principles.
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff, providing guidance during complex cases and clinical crises.
Clinical Supervision
• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to licensed and license-eligible clinicians.
• Observe group and individual sessions and deliver structured feedback to support clinical excellence.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary case reviews and clinical team meetings.
Program Development & Admissions
• Oversee clinical admission processes and appropriateness of level of care.
• Ensure individualized treatment planning that reflects clinical assessment, medical collaboration, and patient goals.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Medical, and Case Management teams to ensure continuity of care.
Compliance, Quality & Documentation
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission, Medicaid, and ASAM.
• Ensure timely completion of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
• Conduct regular chart audits and support quality assurance, utilization review, and readiness activities.
Staff Development & Performance Management
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development of clinical staff.
• Provide coaching, corrective feedback, and annual performance evaluations.
• Support licensure supervision requirements and professional growth pathways.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team on program strategy, staffing models, and clinical outcomes.
• Participate in pre-opening planning, licensure preparation, and go-live readiness.
• Represent clinical services in leadership meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Addictions, or related human services field required.
• Active Indiana clinical license required: LCAC, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in substance use disorder and/or behavioral health treatment.
• Prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, MI, and trauma-informed approaches.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, Medicaid requirements, and clinical documentation standards.
• CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Work Conditions
• Full-time, on-site leadership role at the Muncie, Indiana facility.
• Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours, with flexibility based on program needs.
• Participation in on-call or clinical escalation support as required.
