Full Job Description
We are looking for a Clinical Coordinator for the BSN Nursing Program to join our team. The Clinical Coordinator oversees the daily operations of all aspects of clinical experiences in the Nursing Department. This includes, but is not limited to, clinical faculty, students, and clinical agencies. The Clinical Coordinator works closely with didactic and lead faculty to ensure that clinical experiences and practice skills are solidly integrated with and reflect application of theoretical material presented in the classroom and laboratory. The Clinical Coordinator participates in the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of clinical faculty. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and evaluating clinical sites used for clinical experiences in all nursing courses and maintaining positive relationships with staff at all clinical sites. The Coordinator participates in clinical faculty performance evaluation and assists as needed with student clinical placement. The Coordinator assists in orienting clinical faculty to ensure that program and course outcomes are met and makes site visits during each clinical rotation to evaluate and provide support for clinical instructors. The Clinical Coordinator may provide clinical coverage and teach courses, as needed. The Coordinator assists the Career Services Department in placement of newly licensed graduates into nursing positions. 3 Maintain all required documentation for faculty, staff, and students 3 Monitor and mentor all clinical faculty 3 Maintain strong relationships with clinical agencies 3 Perform agency site visits and document outcomes 3 Facilitate the resolution of clinical faculty, student, and site issues that may arise 3 Ensure all clinical documentation is maintained on file and is accurate, current, and complete 3 Orientation of new clinical faculty 3 Work closely with didactic and lead faculty to ensure integration and application of theoretical content and achievement of clinical course objectives 3 Attend clinical orientations at clinical agencies, as needed 3 Conducting on-campus orientations before students begin each clinical rotation 3 Participate in faculty meetings, new student orientation, and other campus-based meetings as requested 3 Maintain 100% compliance with all accreditation guidelines in clinical aspects of the nursing program 3 Collaborate with Academic Coordinator on clinical faculty performance evaluation 3 Collaborate with Clinical Placement Manager on student clinical placements 3 Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills 3 Member of the clinical practice committee 3 Teaches assigned clinical or laboratory course work, as needed 3 Other duties as assigned to meet business needs 3 Maintain compliance with all nursing state, Federal, and accreditation guidelines 3 Work and communicate effectively with all campus departmental staff 3 Support all company initiatives by process and procedure as communicated 3 Adhere to all company policies and procedures 3 Comply with all State, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations Qualifications 3 BSN degree required; Masters degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited college or university preferred 3 Compact license that covers Arizona for registered nursing License in good standing preferred; The campus state is mandatory 3 Current CPR/BLS Certification 3 Three (3) to five (5) years experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care Additional Information We Offer (for Full Time): 3 Medical, Dental and Vision starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment 3 2 Weeks starting Vacation per year.
