Full Job Description
Clinical Application Coordinator

Kentro is hiring an experienced Clinical Application Coordinator to support our engagement with the Veterans Health Administration. As a Clinical Application Coordinator supporting the Integrated Health Practice program within the Veterans Health Administration/Office of Health Informatics, you will be responsible for supporting VA Medical Centers that need assistance preparing for the transition to Cerner Millennium electronic medical records and providing development expertise for the maintenance and improvement of VistA/CPRS functionality. In addition, you may also be responsible for creating training materials for VistA/CPRS enhancements and testing VistA/CPRS releases.

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting CPRS activities for VA Medical Centers
  • Guiding VAMC staff on VistA clean-up activities to support data migration to Cerner
  • CPRS Alert management
  • CPRS Orders, notes, consults, patient record flag clean-up
  • Clinical Reminder installs, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Creation of training materials and installation instructions for new Clinical Reminders and Templates
  • Define and clarify requirements for new Clinical Reminders or Templates
  • Create new Clinical Reminders and Templates
  • Serve as a coach and facilitator in coordinating Health Informatics Transition activities for VA Medical Centers
  • Prepare weekly reports and maintain records of activities of work accomplishments


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience working as a Clinical Application Coordinator (CAC) on healthcare-related projects within the VA
  • Direct experience working with, troubleshooting, and customizing VistA/CPRS
  • Advanced skills with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Forms, and SharePoint creation and modification
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership
  • Willing and able to learn new skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting health IT-related projects
  • Experience interfacing directly with clients
  • Attention to detail
  • You value teamwork, demonstrate integrity and honesty, are passionate, innovative and strive for excellence

Clearance Requirement:
  • US Citizen or Green card holder
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
