Overview

Kentro is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team of diverse technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Kentro's team supporting our Department of Veterans Affairs client. The candidate should be skilled in managing software development projects, senior consulting, reporting, and analytics tools and communicate effectively with executive leadership.

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare lean business cases, feature canvases, feature specifications, and feature performance dashboards.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations in transitioning to SAFe methodology to deliver Integrated Healthcare solutions.
  • Serve as a scrum master on the Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Define and deliver metrics for the ART performance.
  • Assist agile teams in understanding SAFe and Agile methodology, processes, artifacts, and ceremonies.
  • Prepare management reports and presentations.
  • Prepare standard project documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, define requirements and scope documents, and define roles and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with other project leads to ensure resources are fully utilized.


Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, including a Scrum Master and SAFe certification.
  • Experience with implementing SAFe in medium to large companies.
  • 7+ years of hands-on IT project management experience with a complete understanding of the development lifecycle.
  • 7+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; must provide examples if chosen for an interview.
  • Experience facilitating Scrum/Agile/SAFe events and team meetings.
  • Must have experience in clinical project management and/or healthcare IT systems.
  • Experience writing lean buisiness cases, requirements documents, Epics, User Stories, feature canvases, and feature specifications.
  • Able to define metrics that measure the value of solutions delivered.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with project management standards used by the client.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate directly with clients and provide program activities.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.
  • Must have experience with: - Jira as a user and owner of a project, the ability to modify workflows and create custom reports using Jira is a plus. - Expert user of MS Office Suite, including SharePoint site creation and SharePoint lists, MS forms, workflows, and MS Teams.

  • Veterans Affairs Healthcare experience
