Clinic Practice ManagerEllie Mental Health - Portsmouth-Seacoast, New HampshireThe Opportunity
Ellie Mental Health Portsmouth-Seacoast is seeking a
licensed Clinic Practice Manager to lead and continue building our established outpatient mental health practice in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
This is an opportunity for an experienced clinician who wants more than a traditional therapy or clinical supervision role. We are looking for someone who wants to
lead a clinical team, shape the culture of the practice, mentor and develop clinicians, uphold exceptional standards of client care, and take meaningful responsibility for building a practice that is clinically strong, financially sustainable, collaborative, and positioned for continued growthHave you ever wanted to lead and build a mental health practice without taking on the financial risk and start-up costs of ownership? This role offers meaningful leadership and autonomy combined with the infrastructure and support of an established practice.
You will work in partnership with the Franchise Owners while having substantial responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the clinic. You'll have the opportunity to focus on people, clinical quality, practice performance, community relationships, and growth while benefiting from established systems and resources for billing, credentialing, HR, payroll, marketing, technology, and administrative processes.
Why This Role Is Different
Clinicians who want to move into meaningful leadership often face two choices: remain primarily clinical with limited ability to influence how a practice operates, or assume the financial risk and administrative burden of building a private practice themselves.
We believe there is another option.
As Clinic Practice Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and develop an established and growing clinical team.
- Shape the culture, standards, and direction of the practice.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain exceptional clinicians.
- Provide clinical supervision and professional development.
- Maintain a small, intentional clinical caseload.
- Take meaningful responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the practice.
- Build relationships within the Seacoast community and develop new referral opportunities.
- Partner directly with the Franchise Owners on strategy, growth, and the future direction of the practice.
- Lead with meaningful autonomy while benefiting from established administrative and operational resources.
This is
not a private practice ownership position, but it is also not a low-responsibility management role. It is designed for someone who wants genuine leadership, accountability, autonomy, and the opportunity to help build something meaningful.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means building and maintaining a practice where both clients and clinicians can thrive.
We will look to the Clinic Practice Manager to help create:
- A stable, engaged, accountable, and growing clinical team.

- Consistently high standards for clinical care, ethics, documentation, and client experience.
- A positive workplace culture where clinicians feel both supported and accountable.
- Healthy clinician caseloads and strong productivity.
- Strong client access, satisfaction, and retention.
- Effective partnership and communication between clinical leadership and Franchise Owners.
- Responsible financial performance and sustainable practice growth.
- Strong referral relationships and a meaningful presence within the Portsmouth-Seacoast community.
