Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State.
• Proficient in nursing principles and patient care techniques.
• Familiarity with medical equipment and instruments; experience in ambulatory care preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Laotian/Cambodian/Vietnamese or ability to sign is advantageous.
• Clean background check with no sanctions or exclusions from healthcare programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct holistic nursing assessments and provide patient education via direct or phone contact.
• Coordinate patient care with the medical team during intake, assessments, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare medical equipment and assist practitioners during patient examinations and treatments.
• Document and communicate patients' conditions and responses to treatments and medications to healthcare providers.
• Contribute to policy development and quality assurance standards at YNHS.
• Foster collaborations with healthcare and social service professionals for comprehensive patient care.
• Support student nurses by modeling nursing activities and guiding their clinic practices.
• Engage in training and meetings to enhance nursing skills and staff knowledge.
• Deliver nursing services to underserved populations in various community settings.
• Assist in developing educational programs tailored for patients and staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Represent YNHS in community meetings when needed.
