RESPONSIBILITIES:This position will be responsible managing and directing the day-to-day aspects of the clinic's operations with an emphasis on superior customer service and teamwork. The clinic manager is accountable for the operational and financial performance of the practice. This position has supervisory responsibilities for the clinic staff (technicians, practice coordinators, patient care representatives, etc.)
- First point of contact for the clinic team
- Manage location based associate schedules, adapting to planned and unplanned events, approving associate time in the Dayforce system, and monitoring overtime
- Responsible for driving performance as demonstrated by metrics
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA requirements
- Serve as Safety Contact
- Responsible for office supply management
- Collaborate with other VEI department managers and directors
- Ensure the delivery of excellent service by all associates
- Evaluate and implement operating procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Creates strong working relationships with physicians and associates
- Complete performance evaluation process for associates
- Counsel associates in disciplinary matters
- Recruit, interview, and hire new associates
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS:Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related degree or five to seven years' of ophthalmic practice or hospital administration experience.
Proven leadership capabilities with demonstrated ability to build, lead, motivate, and maintain effective teams.
Experience with Allscripts, Dayforce, Medflow, AdvantX, and/or eClinicalworks a plus.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, physicians, management, and co-workers
Ability maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Windows-based software applications (i.e. Word, Excel)
Demonstrates attention to detail
