Job Title: Client Technologies Technician - Advanced(Senior Linux Systems Administrator) ( 10696)
Location: Columbia , SC 100% Remote (Must be in Continental US & work EST hours)
Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)
Interview: 1 Round - Virtual
Key Responsibilities - Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for system software in mission-critical environments
- Install, configure, maintain, and optimize operating systems and system software
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership
- Support research and development initiatives related to infrastructure
- Train and mentor junior technical staff
- Troubleshoot complex system issues in Linux/Windows environments
Required Skills - 5+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX systems
- 3+ years of experience working in a HIPAA-compliant healthcare environment
- 3+ years of experience with scripting and automation (Shell, Python, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in mixed Linux & Windows environments
- Experience working in VMware or cloud-based enterprise environments
Preferred Skills - Experience with RedHat-based Linux systems
- Experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet
- Version control experience using Git
- Experience with logging/monitoring tools like Splunk or Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
Education & Certifications - High School Diploma (minimum requirement)
- Preferred: RHCT, RHCE, or equivalent Linux certifications
