Full Job Description
Position

We are seeking a Client Relationship Manager to serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for a portion of our client families. This role blends relationship management, financial planning, and operational execution — partnering closely with Private Wealth Advisors to deliver an exceptional, high-touch client experience across every stage of the relationship. Potential for long-term growth into a client facing Advisor role over time, depending upon performance.

About the Team: A top-ranked private wealth advisory team at Rockefeller Capital Management serving HNW and UHNW families, business owners, and retirement plan sponsors. The team combines the intimacy and accountability of a boutique advisory practice with the breadth of Rockefeller’s Global Family Office platform, delivering comprehensive wealth planning, investment management, tax-aware strategy, next-generation education, philanthropic advisory, and family office solutions. We are known for a service-first culture, a deeply collaborative investment process, and long-term relationships built on trust, clarity, and execution.

What Makes Our Team Distinctive:

  • Family office mindset: We look beyond portfolios to the full balance sheet, coordinating planning around family goals, estate structures, business interests, philanthropy, taxes, liquidity, and legacy.
  • Deep bench of specialized credentials: Team members have earned advanced designations across private wealth, investment management, alternatives, exit planning, retirement plans, and financial planning.
  • Tax-aware investment discipline: The team leads with thoughtful tax minimization, including custom portfolio construction, direct/custom indexing where appropriate, ongoing tax-loss harvesting, and careful asset-location considerations.
  • Access and connectivity: Clients benefit from Rockefeller’s open-architecture platform, alternative investment opportunities, private office resources, lifestyle advisory, philanthropic advisory, and access to specialists across the broader Rockefeller network.
  • High-touch, team-based execution: Advisors, planning, investments, service, and operations work together closely so clients experience one coordinated team rather than disconnected functions.
  • Generational perspective: The team is intentional about educating and engaging spouses, children, and future decision-makers so wealth can support family values across generations.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for 50+ client families: independently running quarterly review meetings, anticipating client needs, and handling requests start to finish
  • Lead financial planning function across entire book, from information gathering to presenting planning recommendations
  • Partner with Private Advisors on various UHNW client opportunities (insurance, estate, trust, philanthropy, etc.), updating Family Wealth Blueprints as needed, and driving action items forward
  • Lead next-generation client engagement by onboarding family members and delivering financial education seminars
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI to team processes and drive implementation
  • Support retirement plan relationships, including plan sponsor engagement and participant education meetings
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of client service or relationship management experience in wealth management or financial services
  • Bachelor's degree, with a business/finance focus preferred
  • Series 7 & 66 required
  • CFP strongly preferred, if not, willing to obtain
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with retirement plans (401(k), ESOP) a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience with eMoney financial planning software a plus
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished, client-ready presence
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to translate complex topics into actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
