Job Description

As CohnReznick continues to grow, we are expanding our sales team with the addition of a Client Relationship Executive (CRE) role. We are seeking a director-level sales executive who can act as a growth architect for the firm's Chicago market.

This role is responsible for enterprise-level target acquisition, multi-year revenue strategy, and the orchestration of complex, multi-service pursuits. The CRE will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Practice Leaders, Office Managing Partners, Inside Sales, Marketing, and delivery teams to drive sustained regional growth, deepen executive relationships, and scale best-in-class sales execution across the firm.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM.

You will be part of our sales organization within a structured, team-based sales model that emphasizes collaboration, consistent processes, and professional development.

Within that structure, you will be aligned to the Chicago office - supporting local client and prospect activity for a designated geography while collaborating directly with the local Office Managing Partner, other Client Relationship Executives, Sales Leadership, and local industry group leaders. As a CRE, you will help to lead and influence within the sales organization across industries, service lines, and regions. This may include mentorship of other sales professionals and supporting market-facing leaders to represent CohnReznick externally. It may also include involvement with other relevant industries within the local market.

YOUR ROLE.

In this role, you will be accountable for driving the firm's largest and most complex growth opportunities. This role is primarily focused on top tier client acquisition and enterprise pursuit execution, rather than ongoing account management.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Own and activate a portfolio of enterprise level targets, with specific accountability for originating and advancing the firm's most complex, high-value pursuits within the Chicago market
  • Develop and execute a multi-year market and territory business plan aligned to defined revenue goals and firmwide growth priorities
  • Architect, continuously refine, and activate target ecosystems (accounts, buyer personas, and influencers) that create sustained whitespace and pipeline
  • Build, scale, and manage sophisticated Centers of Influence (COIs) (e.g., referral sources) with a focus on driving net-new opportunity creation
  • Orchestrate cross-firm collaboration across service lines, practices, and regions to deliver integrated, multi-service solutions for enterprise targets
  • Support complex negotiations and deal structuring with senior executives
  • Serve as trusted advisor to C-Suite and board-level target and client contacts
  • Mentor and coach Senior Manager and Manager-level CREs; support succession and growth planning discussions as the Chicago market scales
  • Maintain strong pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline to support predictable growth and leadership visibility
  • Represent the firm externally across the Chicago market at industry events, executive forums, conferences, and targeted networking environments

The Director role requires a sustained track record of revenue over-achievement and the ability to influence outcomes at the executive and board level.

Revenue Accountability
  • Assigned the highest revenue target levels within the CRE role structure
  • Expected pipeline coverage typically 3× revenue target
  • Must demonstrate consistent quota achievement or over-achievement for 3+ years

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:
  • 13+ years of experience in sales, client leadership, or professional services roles
  • Proven success leading enterprise level pursuits and expanding complex client relationships
  • Experience working with growth-oriented industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Consumer, Hospitality, or Manufacturing & Distribution
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-service expansion and long-term value creation
  • Sustained history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence C-Suite and board level executives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-service teams
  • Advanced commercial, financial, and negotiation acumen
  • Experience mentoring senior sales professionals and developing future leaders
  • Expert level proficiency with CRM systems and forecasting disciplines (Dynamics or Salesforce preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced or industry-specific education preferred

Tools & Systems you will use:
  • CRM platforms (Dynamics or Salesforce)
  • Sales intelligence and research tools (e.g., SalesIntel, Introhive, Bombora, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Power BI dashboards (basic to intermediate usage)
  • Marketing and proposal tools
