Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Communication team at Mercer. This role will be based anywhere in the U.S. a Mercer office is located, as this is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Working within the Communications Content & Production Hub to support communication consultants in all US markets

  • Working independently and on teams on client-facing communication engagements across industries

  • Supporting the implementation of communication strategies and project management/production coordination of client deliverables

  • Responsibility for managing multiple project budgets, preparing monthly invoice details, etc.

  • Assist in the design and development of communication to deliver effective and engaging employee communications to organizations in multiple industries

  • Be responsible for editorial review of communications and content management, coordinating reviews of communication materials (compliance, technical, editorial, client, vendor, etc.) and incorporating edits as appropriate

  • Interact independently with clients on a regular basis by answering questions and providing requested materials

  • Coordinate across workstreams to proactively identify dependencies, gaps, and risks in executing the communication strategies and work plans

  • Leverage work to other resources (writers, graphic designers, analysts/associates, etc.) and provide guidance for accomplishing work and meeting performance standards

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in English, business, communication, journalism, human resources, or related field of study

  • A minimum of 5 years’ extensive experience writing corporate communications, including HR, compensation, benefits, retirement, and policies, or 5+ years of HR/communication consulting experience with a professional services firm

  • Experience with AI tools, such as Claude

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including public speaking skills; advanced editing, proofreading, and composition skills; proven technical and persuasive writing skills

  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and project management skills, plus strong command of MS Word and PowerPoint and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines
