The OpportunityWe are seeking a
Client Accounting Coordinator to join our Firm. This hybrid position will be based in our Boston Office. The Client Accounting Coordinator provides client accounting analysis and billing support to partners. This role coordinates client accounting activity for assigned partners and practice areas to ensure all work meets established service guidelines.
Responsibilities- Handles complex billing and client analysis projects.
- Reviews outstanding balance reports and is proactive about identifying trouble spots.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge and database of client terms, special billing arrangements, and attorney and client preferences.
- Understands and responds to inquiries and requests from clients, attorneys, and business services professionals, providing relevant knowledge, guidance, and support.
- Develops strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Prepares bills and internal forms, including the appropriate backup required to process monthly reminder memos, A/R write-offs, retainer and on-account applications, and related transactions.
- Handles assigned partner(s)' billing and collection activities.
- Participates in answering and supporting the Firm's billing and collection help line.
- Documents meetings and discussions with partners for follow-up and action items.
- Actively seeks to enhance knowledge of all Client Accounting procedures and processes.
- Maintains complete and up-to-date files for each partner and/or client.
- Updates and maintains billing logs, reminder memos, and response tracking.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to build productive working relationships.
- Maintains a regular and reliable on-site presence to meet with partners and team members.
- Manages Firm resources responsibly.
- Understands and complies with Firm operations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Ability to work independently while continuously developing skills.

- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant Firm software programs (e.g., Aderant, Outlook, Excel, and Word), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.

- Ability to handle sensitive matters while maintaining confidentiality.

Education and Experience Required- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of one year of legal billing work experience with some account analysis related functions

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
Salary Details$85,000 - $95,000
