Full Job Description
Title:
Class Desk

The Class Desk (Asst Program Manager, Engineering) serves as the operational and fleet-focused liaison between engineering teams and program leadership. This role ensures operational requirements, constraints, and impacts are integrated into technical planning, execution, and decision-making for CuXS systems, particularly where system performance affects safety and mission readiness.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Act as liaison between engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and fleet representatives.
  • Integrate operational requirements and fleet priorities into technical discussions and planning efforts.
  • Advise program leadership on operational impacts of system issues, failures, and proposed changes.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to address fleet-driven requirements and concerns.
  • Support assessments of system performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and operational communities to support informed decision-making.

Basic Qualifications
  • Clearance & Citizenship: Active/Current Secret, with eligibility to obtain Top Secret. U.S. citizenship required.
  • Education & Experience: Master's in Engineering or an Engineering/STEM Discipline & 8+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's in Engineering or an Engineering/STEM Discipline & 12+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with operational or fleet organizations.
  • Background supporting safety-critical or mission-essential systems.
  • Experience bridging technical and operational communities.


Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.

Compensation: $132,000-$198,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
