Job Summary:

THE ROLE:

The Claims Manager supports Live Nation's operations. In this role, you'll have primary responsibility for managing liability claims in North America.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
  • Conducts and/or oversees claim investigations and resolution of general liability, auto liability, and property damage claims, including complex and high-exposure claims.
  • Interviews claimants, witnesses, and internal stakeholders; reviews incident reports, contracts, medical records, police reports, and other documentation to support claim investigations.
  • Coordinates overall claims process including investigation and discovery, litigation management, and direction and settlement authority
  • Collaborates with in-house and outside legal counsel to assure proper handling of litigated files as well as coordination of discovery including but not limited to gathering pertinent legal information and claims documentation, deposition requests, identification and preparation of witnesses and other discovery, as well as assists in developing overall defense strategy
  • Provides oversight and general management of TPAs on the management of all GL, AL and PD claims, including claim handling best practices, adherence to client service instructions, litigation guidelines, billing guidelines and any other necessary documents/guidelines
  • Manages claim reviews in partnership with the third-party claims administrator to ensure claim handling is aligned with expectations. Provides coaching and direction to claim examiners, as needed
  • Evaluates settlement opportunities, negotiates with claimants, attorneys, insurers, and TPAs, and authorizes settlements within delegated authority.
  • Attends mediations and other settlement conferences as necessary
  • Provides guidance to operations on handling incidents and evidence preservation, as they may arise
  • Tenders and tracks progression of other types of claims as necessary (property, inland marine, etc.)
  • Other duties associated with claims or risk management department operations, as necessary


WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in a corporate risk management department and/or large insurance carrier/TPA liability claims operation
  • Demonstrated expertise handling complex general liability, auto liability, and property damage claims from investigation through resolution.
  • Strong technical claims adjusting skills, including liability analysis, reserve setting, litigation management, and settlement evaluation and negotiation.
  • Experience with a self-insured insurance program, and supervising/partnering with a TPA.
  • Strong knowledge of risk transfer principles, including contractual indemnification and additional insured status.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Information systems, database analytics, claims trends, and reserve setting and analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work autonomously to a significant degree, have a high level of attention to detail, be organized and efficient and able prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and place a high value on providing exceptional and timely service to internal and external clients

The expected compensation for this position is:
$104,000.00 USD - $130,000.00 USD
