Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located at State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. Unless otherwise indicated, applicants for construction positions must have heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified below.

Job Summary:

The Civil Field Engineer will report to the Lead CSA Field Engineer. This individual is responsible for providing technical assistance, direction, and support to field supervision for construction and installation activities. #LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:

Work Planning & Packaging

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.

Material Management

• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.

Quantities

• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.

Safety / Quality Control

• Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Technical

• Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities

System Turnover Coordinator

For Direct Hire

• Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.

STR / Subcontract Coordinator

• Reviews and approves inspection test plans
• Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Construction experience assigned to a construction site.
• Experience managing technical services subcontracts.
• Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
• Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Experience in excavation, backfill, ditches, culverts, and other similar earthworks activities.
