The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for civil engineering projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects including earthwork, concrete, and structural components.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
- Prepare and maintain a database of costs for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions and clarifying scope of work.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input regarding budgetary considerations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in civil estimating.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials, particularly in concrete and structural work.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
