Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Engineer - Level II to join our team based in New York City! In this role, you will contribute to the planning and design of streets, highways, interchanges, railroad sites, and other critical infrastructure projects in the city and beyond. You will perform a variety of engineering tasks and be responsible for developing engineering studies, designs, estimates, and construction documents..
What You'll Be Doing:- Perform design of roadway/highway geometry, grading and drainage, sewer and water main, utilities, green infrastructure, work zone traffic control, site layout, safety improvements, and other associated transportation engineering tasks.
- Develop civil/highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details using engineering software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Support multi-disciplinary design development teams for project execution, coordinating with structural, traffic, geotechnical, environmental, and other disciplines.
- Interface with CAD designers, other engineers, and subcontractors to progress design packages and resolve technical issues.
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required, including design reviews and construction-phase services.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 5+ years of related work experience
- NYCDOT/NYCDDC civil/highway experience, and NYCDEP sewer and water main design preferred.
- Familiarity with NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and/or NYCDEP standards and specifications.
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation software, and working knowledge of other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
