- Develops and reviews engineering design and standards and oversees construction activity within the department.
- Provides customer service and coordination between consultants, engineers, staff, and other departments.
- Oversees development of water and sewer improvements for new subdivisions; responds to complaints and inquiries.
- Provides updates on number of connections to the water system; compares data with TCEQ requirements.
- Assists with capital improvement projects and TxDOT; provides technical advice as needed.
- Coordinates with other utility departments to identify any conflicts with existing or proposed infrastructure.
- Submits Council Communication agendas.
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
- Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications Required Education and Experience- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited* college or university in Civil Engineering or related field.
- At least one (1) year of experience in the practice of civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or related engineering field.
*Council of Higher Education Accreditation (C.H.E.A.)
Valid Licenses and Certifications Required Licenses or Certifications- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is required. (Copy of P.E. License must be attached to the application)
