OverviewWe are currently seeking a
Civil Engineer to join our Linear Municipal Infrastructure team. Our team specializes in the critical networks that keep a community moving and connected, including water mains, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and roadways.
This is a new position and is based at our

ResponsibilitiesAbout the Position
Project Management & Design - Manage civil engineering team activities and support project managers / technical staff in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects across the company.
- Lead design team(s) on a variety of municipal and land development infrastructure projects related to water supply, sewers, roads, site servicing and waste management.
- Lead and provide technical direction of functional design, detailed design for the development of construction documents and specifications for tendering and construction.
- Lead construction administration of civil projects including road, sewer, water supply, stormwater management and others.
- We empower our teams to automate the routine so they can focus on high-value, creative problem-solving. You will be encouraged to experiment with AI-enabled tools to push the boundaries of traditional design.
Sustainable Business Development - Identify and develop of new business opportunities.
- Lead the maintenance of existing client relationships, including preparation of proposals and statement of qualification.
- Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request.
Learning and Development- Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
- Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
- Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
QualificationsQualifications- A degree in civil engineering.
- Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months.
- Five years' professional work experience in municipal / infrastructure engineering.
ExperienceExperience & Attributes- Demonstrated success in the leadership of multidisciplinary project teams and business development.
- Experienced in the design and construction management of various municipal infrastructure including water supply systems, sewage systems, roadways, stormwater management works, underground and surface site servicing works, and/or waste management facilities.
- Experience with trenchless technologies and applications would be an asset.
- In depth knowledge of contract administration services and requirements.
- Expert knowledge of municipal servicing standards and environmental approvals requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in public and agency consultation.
- Strong proficiency in proposal and report writing, presentations, communications, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of current AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Civil 3D software will be considered an asset.
Compensation$80,000 - $120,000

It will be dependent on the successful applicant's education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
