Civil Design Engineer - California - RemoteWe pride ourselves on providing excellent client service and deliverables that are of the highest quality. We're building a design team focusing on civil infrastructure design for roadway and public park improvements, including planimetric layout, grading and drainage design, storm water management (treatment and detention/retention), wet utility collection and distributions systems (storm, sewer, water), coordination of utility layout with dry utilities, coordination of our design with the entire consultant team, including geotechnical engineers, traffic engineers, landscape architects, lighting and electrical engineers, and others, plus coordination with our clients and other public agencies to develop a design that meets the needs and expectations of a large group of stakeholders. We're looking for engineers with experience in design, plan production, and preparation of specifications, cost estimates, and supporting calculations.

This is a HYBRID role with a mixture of REMOTE work and in office teamwork.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Minimum 2 years of experience performing civil infrastructure design elements described above.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred for more experienced applicants.
- Possession of a valid Class "C" California driver's license is required.
- Have solid computer skills and experience using PDF and MS Office programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exercise initiative and display independent judgment.
- Be self-directed and self-motivated.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Manage various tasks on several concurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned.
COMPENSATION: SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a strong benefit package.
Salary Range $130,000 - $170,000, depending on position and qualifications.
