Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity as a Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) Commercial Duty Officer (CDO) on the Sensor Systems Support (S3) contract supporting the United States Space Force and Space Domain Awareness stakeholder community. This position will support the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission by providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) within the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) and United States Space Forces Space - Combined Joint Force Space Component (S4S-CJFSC). This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the success of U.S. space superiority by standing watch as part of a 24/7 operations coverage team that is responsible for supporting Commercial Mission Partners (CMP) in normal and contingency operations during competition and crisis environments.
Work is performed at Vandenberg SFB, CA. This is an operations floor position with a dedicated schedule. Telework is not available.
SDA is foundational to Protecting and Defending US Space Systems that provide space-based Intelligence, Early Warning, Communications and Global Positioning services that sustain our way of life, support our national economy and act as force multipliers in times of conflict.
As a CIC Commercial Duty Officer (CDO), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring continuous safe, secure, and effective operation of satellites, spacecraft, ground stations, and supporting systems of our commercial mission partners. This multifaceted position demands a blend of technical expertise, sharp situational awareness, precise communication skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to unexpected events.
The Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) enables operational and technology exchange between Space Operators at the CSpOC and commercial satellite owner/operators supporting real-time and near real-time information flow during routine operations and enables rapid, informed response to critical unplanned space events or other activity in and through space to improve SDA.
Responsibilities
An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government. As a CIC CDO you will identify and assess risks and threats to CMP assets and will function as on-shift integrator for U.S. Government support activities. You will also respond to routine messages, maintain awareness of scheduled maneuvers, and succinctly coordinate information regarding unexpected events. Additionally, the CDO will monitor CMP activities and primary system capabilities in order to enhance U.S. space situational awareness. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance, agreeable to polygraph
Education: Associate’s or CCAF Degree; Relevant USSF or other Service Technical School Completion
Experience: 3 years of relevant experience, 2 of which in a similar role supporting Department of Defense, industry, or intelligence organizations

Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance, current polygraph
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any applicable field; Secondary relevant technical school completion
Experience: 6 years of relevant experience, 4 of which are in a similar role supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence organizations or 2+ years crew operations
Certifications: Advanced technical certifications or coursework in a space-related field; specialized certifications related to space operations, mission assurance, or anomaly response are a plus

Location: Work is performed at Vandenberg SFB, CA; candidates must be willing and able to work rotating operational crew shifts, including nights and weekends
Travel: Up to 10% to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon Government direction
