CIB, Senior Investment Banking Associate - Industrials

The Difference You Make:

As a Senior Associate in Santander’s Investment Banking Industrials team, your primary responsibilities will span a wide range of quantitative and qualitative skills, with a strong emphasis on project management, mentorship of junior staff and client interaction. Senior Associates will develop technical mastery and deal execution skills across all investment banking products including M&A, LevFin and ECM while building a robust professional network, both internally and externally.

Essential Functions/ResponsibilityStatements:

  • Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across all sectors of the Industrials Group.
  • Take a leadership role in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and financial analysis.
  • Manage and review financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction documentation.
  • Oversee Analysts work and ensure accuracy in deliverables.
  • Actively participate in client meetings and deal discussions.
  • Contribute to deal structuring and negotiation processes.
  • Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required
  • Master's Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Preferred


Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years Finance, Business or related field/sector - Required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge ofcorporate finance and investment banking products, with a preference to experience in industrials
  • Expertknowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with advancedfinancial modeling skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player andself-starter.
  • Strong technical financial modeling and valuation skills.

Certifications:

  • Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.

  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.

  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.

  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$175,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$225,000.00 USD
