Advanced Practice Provider - Clinic Opportunities in Ogdensburg, NY

The Opportunity

We are seeking collaborative, patient-centered Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs) to join our growing clinical teams across three core specialty areas: Family Practice, Pediatrics, and Cardiology. Whether you are passionate about comprehensive primary care, dedicated to pediatric development, or specialized in cardiovascular management, North Star Health Alliance provides a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where you can build a fulfilling clinical career tailored to your specialty expertise.
Key Responsibilities
  • Family Practice: Deliver comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan. Manage acute illnesses, direct chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, COPD), perform routine health maintenance screenings, and promote long-term wellness.
  • Pediatrics: Conduct well-child exams, track developmental milestones, administer immunizations, and evaluate pediatric acute conditions from infancy through adolescence. Provide compassionate, family-centered health education.
  • Cardiology: Partner with supervising cardiologists to provide specialized outpatient cardiac care. Assess and manage complex cardiovascular conditions (CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias, post-MI care), interpret diagnostic findings, and oversee post-procedure follow-ups.
  • Collaborative Care & Continuity: Work alongside physicians, specialty clinicians, nurses, and care coordinators to build integrated treatment plans and ensure smooth care transitions.
  • Schedule: Primarily Day Shift (Monday-Friday) with rotational weekend or call responsibilities depending on department assignment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Licensure & Certification: Active (or eligible for) unencumbered New York State license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C). National Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) appropriate to specialty practice (FNP, PNP, AGNP, or PA).
  • Prescriptive Authority: Active NYS prescriptive authority and valid DEA registration (or eligible).
  • Experience: Open to both experienced providers and promising new graduates with strong clinical rotations in primary care, pediatrics, or cardiovascular health.
  • Visas: Welcoming qualified J-1 and H-1B visa applicants for upcoming recruitment cycles.
