Pharmacist (Full-Time) | Clinical Specialist - Ogdensburg Campus
Impact patient care at a leading regional medical center.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist to join our clinical team at the Claxton Campus in Ogdensburg. This position is central to achieving superior patient outcomes through clinical assessment, specialized therapy management, and expert consultation. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will provide dedicated support to our inpatient and specialty services.

Schedule & Setting
  • Hours: Day Shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
  • Location: 100% On-Site at the Ogdensburg Campus (Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center).
  • Call: Once-a-month weekend call.

Core Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment: Monitor prescribed drug therapies for safety and effectiveness across diverse patient populations within the facility.
  • Consultation: Partner with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize medication utilization and hospital resources.
  • Patient Education: Participate in direct patient teaching and discharge counseling.
  • Compliance: Maintain QA and regulatory standards to ensure the highest level of departmental pharmacy practice.

Requirements
  • Licensure: Current NYS Pharmacy License (upcoming graduates welcome!)
  • Certification: Current BLS Certification.
  • Experience: Hospital experience is heavily preferred (Retail experience will be considered).
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in specialized hospital pharmacy functions and clinical information systems.

Preferred Specialty Experience
  • Cancer Treatment / Oncology
  • Dialysis
  • Mental Health / Behavioral Health

Pay & Benefits
  • Grade 8 Range: $64.07 - $84.89/hour
  • Pay determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
