Wage Range: $40–$55 per hour (DOE)

OVERVIEW:
The ChillerTechnical Team Lead is responsible for advanced service, troubleshooting, repair, startup, and commissioning of HVAC systems. This role serves as a technical leader in the field, providing mentorship, training, and day‑to‑day direction to apprentices and technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, troubleshoot, repair, and commission Chillers, HVAC systems, including boilers, RTUs, split systems, furnaces, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform system diagnostics using blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Lead, mentor, and train apprentices and less‑experienced technicians
- Completion of Assigned daily tasks and responsibilities
- Identify and report training needs and support skill development for team members
- Support and conduct safety talks and reinforce company safety standards
- Provide input for employee performance evaluations
- Prepare service and installation work by reviewing scope, evaluating building layouts, identifying challenges, and coordinating materials and resources
- Document all work accurately and timely through daily job paperwork and reports
- Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer products, installation methods, service procedures, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance to customers and internal team members
- Participate in on‑call rotation and work overtime or weekends as business needs require
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and handbook guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a Commercial Chiller Technician
- Strong boiler service and installation expertise
- Working knowledge of:
- Chillers
- Boilers and burner controls
- All Refrigeration systems
- RTU installation, commissioning, and service
- Split system AC and furnace installation, commissioning, and service
- Proven leadership ability with a positive, team‑oriented approach
- Strong desire and ability to train and develop others
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Valid Colorado driver’s license with an acceptable MVR
- Current Universal EPA certification
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical (job‑related)
