About the Job

The Mission & Scope:

  • Heavy Iron Ownership: Execute full teardowns, rebuilds, tube brushing, oil analyses, and seasonal startups on large-scale centrifugals, screws, and scrolls-both air-cooled and water-cooled.
  • Real Diagnostics: Isolate root causes fast. Use hydronic, thermodynamic, and electrical diagnostics to solve flow, pressure, and thermal transfer issues without guessing or swapping parts.
  • Modern Field Tech: Manage your jobs through internal field service management system (BuildOps). Track asset history, log precise diagnostic readings, author clear quotes, and keep dispatch updated in real time.
  • Safety & Precision: Set the standard on site. Enforce strict Lock-Out Tag-Out, follow OSHA guidelines, and execute safe rigging and crane operations on critical job sites.


What You Bring (Qualifications):

  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in heavy commercial/industrial HVAC, with a verifiable focus on centrifugal, screw, and/or scroll chiller platforms (e.g., York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin).
  • Technical Licenses: Active EPA Universal certification (Required). Active HVAC Trade School certifications or TDLR mechanical licenses are highly prioritized.
  • System Competency: Comprehensive mastery of the refrigeration cycle, variable frequency drives (VFDs), basic Building Automation Systems (BAS) interfaces, and fluid hydronics.
  • A Professional Standard: A clean driving record, a commitment to passing pre-employment screening, and a structured, team-first approach to field communication.
